well, i’ve been caught
Current mood: irritated

and it’s not such a good feeling
yes, as i was just mentioning to a friend of mine i’ve not been posting on here about “getting laid” even tho i haven’t mentioned many names of the people i’ve dated there were real obvious things that would i.d. them
turns out that this has caused some trouble for people
I feel bad
not that i would actually expect some one to respond, but if any of you reading this have been negatively effected by this I am truly sorry.

I will think more before posting

As a disclaimer
I do not think things on here will change all that much
I think this because, sometimes (and sometimes not) I like to talk about the crazy awesome times i’ve had. Sometimes when I’m dating someone i get excited and want to write about the fun times
this is what has gotten me into trouble
I think 2 things:
1.) I wish that only my friends on myspace would be able to read my blog on here, instead of everyone. (****does anyone know how i could set that up?****)
2.) If i were dating someone, no matter how much i liked them, I’m not sure how i would feel if they were writing a blog that i might be in (esp. if i didn’t know they had one)

..2 i’ve been thinking about for awhile
part of the reason why i’ve not been writing

However, since i might want to keep writing about the fun times occasionally, I will still be writing about people
I don’t know what the answer is
perhaps i should just leave all of the things/people associated with dating out of all this.

i guess that’s what i will try

one thing i also know
is that people like to read into things
(I’m not saying people were reading into my previous blogs, b/c there was nothing TO read into, it was spelled out)

but if i write, “and then I met Nick for dinner in Greenpoint”
someone might read that (a random person, some friend of mine or Nick’s, an ex of mine, or an ex of his) and think “OMG, are they dating?”
you know
but I’m not so much going to worry about it
I do know i don’t want to cause anymore trouble

well
i’m just about to finish my 2nd birthday weekend
read on if you want here about (almost) all the fun i had
i do (believe it or not) censor myself in a couple of ways on here
mostly i focus on positive stuff (not much moanin’ here)
and you can gather some of the other stuff i DON’t talk about

when i wish on an eyelash…
who else does this consistently?
i always wish for the same thing
i guess i shouldn’t tell you all here
but it’s a very much positive thing i wish for
anyway
my sister, when i was younger
told me to wish on my eyelashes
this is funny
and she’d be like blow it away and make a wish
and i would never know what to wish for
and i would ask her “what should i wish for?”
and she’d be like “you have to pick something you’d like”
and i could never think of a possession i’d want
so when i was really little i would always wish for an apple pie
don’t ask me why, we all know i’m weird
but cute and funny as-well;)
(my sister thought it was hilarious of course)

one day
in the mid eighties
it changed
i all of the sudden started wishing for a cabbage patch doll
(i hate those things, i really think that i wanted one b/c that’s what everybody else wanted)
and then after a long while, I got a FAKE cabbage patch kid
a black fake one for christmas!
i really am telling the truth
and then for my birthday
i got these twin premie cabbage patch kids
twins?! a black premie and a white premie!?
AND THE BLACK ONE HAD GREEN SPOTS ALL OVER HIS FACE
i’m still, not making this up.

you all made it a wonderful weekend again

my party on friday was perfect
so many people i adore
apparently everyone got along swimingly
meeting new folks
lots of hugs for me
and i got some presents too
very very happy with that night

sat. francis came over to fix my toilet for my birthday present
and broke it by mistake
and it wouldn’t stop flushing for over an hour until the super came
and he fixed it!
for all of you who have been hear
this is a great joy to have it fixed
it works like it should now!!

then after hanging out here
tim mary and francis and i went to petes candy store
to see jeff play
many great people there aswell
including many members of hugga broomstick
(oh, did i mention that i’m going to germany with them! OMG!)
had fun there and then went all over the burg

capons
royal oak
all over
those pals are so good at keeping up with my hopping
they were really great to have along that night
and very funny

today
i spend quite some time cleaning
and now my house feels really great
did tuns of laundry

and now i’m off to my regular coffee with dibs on Sunday evening
what fun life it luvs
and then harry potter in my living room with my roommate

very thankful for fun times

Friday night was dans show @ sidewalk

and pbs was there and it was really great

loads of wonderful folks

I think almost every hug that I got I was actually picked up!

It got me very excited
And Dan was wonderful as well

Continuing with the celebration of my birthday weekend ..1…

after dan’s set
me and jojo met friends @ the celler
quite fun it was there
all of the people were very nice to me there
And a few said on separate occasions that I had brightened there night
Super cool!

then I got whisked (unexpectedly) back to bk
for another wonderful time
sat. was very cool
woke up and walked to park slope with pals in the nice sun
then took the train home

Practiced my music, blablabla

then!!!!!!!!
saw the most wonderful art
Chrissy’s the best ever
her stuff in her MFA thesis show was 10 times better than anyone’s there
soooooo good

oh, and on the way
i stopped to see dan deacon and talabam
and get 6 hugs
cool
didn’t get to see the show but thought it was funny that i had just been
wearing a dan deacon shirt for two days in a row.

got taken out to little Italy for a superawesomerad time
very very exciting

then we took a ride up to the celler and stole sasha over to larry laurence bar in williamsburg. were we dropped it like it was hot or something
no really it was anne’s birthday party
had tuns of fun
talked to some people in england @ 6:00 am (their time)
so much fun
very happy with sasha too

last new years there were 5 Matts
there are 3 drummer Jons
and 4 drummer Daves (but really like 7 total, non-drummer and drummer)
um, there was that incident were 3 Pauls asked me out in one week
now Neils and Sashas a bundle!

ya gotta love it!

so, can you believe we are just getting to the actual day……
woke up in a good mood (pretty sure it only had to do with a special dear…)

and then went to the most wonderful brunch with jason and rudy!

i think it took them like 45 min to bring it

after that time was spent in the big apple with rudy

After I passed out
And got up
Everything seemed to happen at once
I was there for a very dear friend
I got a happy birthday text from someone I didn’t think I would have (who I haven’t heard from in a while)
And a friendster message from a friend who I’ve been wanting to hear from

I got so many good messages this past weekend (and they keep coming)

i’m enjoying some time at my house by myself right now
my room smells great because of all the wind and the rain
i’ve got good music (grizzly bear, and a mix i made), candles and i’m in my robe

been under alotta stress because of the thing i do for money
basically every major stress thing that can happen in a year is happening right now
but guess what
i’m doing very well
a month ago, i got volunteered to give a speech for the top guy
and today was the day

very very well
and i looked great too
made a few jokes
warmed hearts
basically made myself sound awesome

then after i got taken out for the greatest meal
including a pomme mojito
sea bass
calamarie (i can’t spell to spit)
and
muscles
yes, it’s hard to be me…

been practicing a lot
slowly but surely gonna get there
very scared for my solo show.

last night was a full moon
my friend told me that women are more likely to give birth on a full moon
and the the “birthing centers” are always over crowed

mary and francis came over friday night
they are great
and we wound up at rudy’s DDR party
where i tried sugar free sparks
very fun night
they slept over
francis went to work and
mary and i spent the day
we went thrift shopping
and had some wine with lunch at home
very nice day

oh, and today after i got home and practiced
dibs came over
we walked to the robeling (sp?) tearoom
i had a fun time with dibs but i thought i would like that place more
we are doing reviews on coffee and tea on sundays in williamsburg

yesterday PBS came to my house and was filming my roommate for a time
they filmed me playing one of my songs on the uke
and then they followed us to the deli with their cameras
that all felt really weird

that is truly the best way to describe it
mostly b/c my crazy house will be on pbs (for anyone who’s not been here my
decorating IS something to see)

i went to Jason’s for a photo shoot after
possibly for a flyer for my show
or something
it was good, first we went to lunch
and at his house dave and his brother were playing yahtzee
they are so great
i love them!

and it seems we may have gotten some pretty good pics!

then i met a friend in the lower east side for drinks
he was really great and really funny
great story teller, and by the way crazy!

well we had fun running around in the cold
we ran into some nice characters like andy @ cake shop
matt @ the Johnson’s
and Johnny @ the shop

then i wound up going to prospect heights
got to read the “short stories that nobody ever likes”
but liked them very much esp. when they were read by the author, who’s accent is quite incredible (i don’t think i could ever get sick of it….. blush)(ahhhh!!!!!!)
and then we watched this super cool british comedy called “Little Britain”
it was really funny, but i may like the British “The Office” better
never the less, it did remind me of that show a little,
it may even have had some of the same people

today, i got home @ like 4

(oh, and i also had a friend visit me today
she totally eliminated the 1% chance!
I was SOOOOO happy to see her!
I feel great (a little fuzzy, however))

took a shower
chatted with me roomie
that was nice

and then dibs came on his bike
we took a ride to verb on bedford and
had some coffee outside because, it was nice out
bike riding ROCKS!!!!

now I’m home
and just worked on my latest song:

oh, i went to the allergist this past thurs. and my new Dr. said he’d never seen anyone so
sensitive in his life. after he did this terrible (”this is the new mildest test, you aren’t
supposed to react too this”) test, where my arms blew up. he said he’d never seen anyone
react to all 8 outta 8 trees before. he said six was rare and i should get allergy shots)

I (still) haven’t had much time lately to write these things.

Up until yesterday when I got home from work I had not had a single moment to myself
And I’d say that I did a pretty good job of making the most of this whole past 6 days!

Synopsis:

Friday
Had a Super Awesome party in honor of Birthday Dan Fishback moving in.
Tons of folks
Tons of fun
The biggest best tasting cheese cake
Cheese on bread
2 Canadians
A million other great people
There was only minimal spillage or any other damage to the quarters, and only a few got hurt (no bodies eye got poked out;)

Sat.
Brunch @ Moto w/ bf And then I tuned my auto harp for the show
And
Off to Bard college
Incredibly beautiful ride on the loveliest Taconic!
With 10 or so wonderful people (most mentioned by name previously)
We played in this one room building (bard recital hall)
And it was really fun
Afterward the wonderful Canadians (Chris and Richard) played some music for everyone on the lawn
And then 25 people went inside a tomb
And all sang together
Whoa!

Stayed the night at Dave’s place, beautiful 2-floor house next to a pervert landlord, but Dave was cool, he had the whole series of my so-called life on DVD.

Then we went to NY the next day
Took a nice nap and then we got ready for the Dibs w/ Machines (second) show @ sidewalk
But first me and Daniel had a very nice dinner there

Monday and Tuesday mornings Chris and Richard took my out to Brunch
I LOVE LOVE LOVE them and so does my roommate
I want them to move in with us
Well they did sort of live here for a couple of days
And Monday night after work I came home and played them some songs of mine and they watched Medicine (the musical film I was in)
I had lots of fun with them
And can’t wait to visit them
And Richard passed out in my bed
So I slept on the couch
I think it was the second time I’ve slept in my living room. The first time I did it just because I could
I didn’t have to walk to my bed

Even tho it was awhile ago I’ll list some highlights from the past weekend:
Friday, we went to Phoebe’s party and that was grand
I took some really awesome videos on Daniel’s camera
And that was one of my fav. Parts
And that was the first time that he met many of my friends,
Including Dan fishback, and they got along wonderfully!
And I saw lots of folks that I miss muchly, esp. yoko and she was singing the betsy song
“la la la la lala- the betsy”
very enjoyable

then, sat. me and Daniel had a nice nice day (besides a really wonderful brunch I don’t think I need to tell you that I did laundry and stuff while he worked on his website;)
and then in the night we went to historia to a really nice lounge for my friend Sasha’s birthday party (ware certain people were very happy to see me happy. who isn’t?)
oh, a funny part about that party was that, one of the couple’s we were talking to said that He worked in an office for architecture and the owners wife had this crazy art studio where sometimes she’d smoke and they all could smell it while working. And I kept telling Daniel that he should hook me up in his office. That’d be rad! It was funny.

Anyway, after we met Brandon (the fest) and Justin and others in the city and had so much fun with them!

Sunday was wonderbrunch again and my friend heather really HOOked us up and it was soooooooooooo good b/c I love the brunch there. How do you spell eggs in Spanish?

And then some hours at fix and It was really fun w/ Daniel the whole time (soory for the gushmush!)

AND THEN
On Monday
Music night
SOO COOL
We made a song “hunter’s moon”
And started the band Old Hat!

Tues was first a visit from Jason
Then Dibs practice
Then Daniel
How could I not be ecstatic?!!

Last night I wrote/finish 3 songs!

Machines practice was just now
So much fun
And I play t=my newest for the boys

i just hope people don’t think it’s overkill or something
